Windows
Serious Windows - Offer superior thermal performance windows to anything on the market. With whole window U-values of 0.14 or less. This means an effective R-value of 7 or better, which is twice as good as the windows that I installed on my home. These are based on the same technology as the alpen windows listed below.
Alpen Windows - Offer very efficient high tech windows in either aluminum clad wood or fiberglass framed. They have spectral limiting films sandwiched between panes of glass creating really low U-Values. To get these windows, you have to pay quite a bit more to get superior windows to the Pella's I purchased. They are out of Boulder, CO.
Pella Windows - Offer a line of triple pane windows in their designer series which offer a better U-value of 0.27 than other window manufacturers. The third pane is hinged so you can place window treatments between the panes and avoid lots of cleaning plus they are out of the way.
Clawson Windows - Montana window manufacturer offering a wide range of energy efficient vinyl windows.
